Frank is a Counsel in the corporate team in Brussels.
Frank has extensive experience in corporate transactional and restructuring work. He is specialised in M&A (incl. W&I-insurance), venture capital and corporate governance. His work covers both local and cross-border transactions. He has particular experience in the TMC, Life Sciences and Workforce Solutions sectors.
Frank regularly advises start/scale-ups and investors on a broad range of legal issues such as (international) corporate structuring and financing. He's at the forefront of the various start/scale-up initiatives at Osborne Clarke in Belgium, including the partnership with Scaleup Flanders. Furthermore, Frank also heads the Web3 practice which leverages OC's multi-disciplinary knowledge in corporate, financial regulatory, tax, IP/IT and commercial law. He regularly advises on token generating events, set-up and governance of DAO, NFTs, and smart contracts in general. He authored various publications, ranging from articles in leading Belgian law reviews to one of the key volumes on smart contracts in Belgium.
In his role of LegalTech specialist, he co-leads the LegalTech initiatives in the Belgian office of Osborne Clarke, in close cooperation with OC Solutions.
Frank is affiliated with the Jan Ronse Institute for Corporate and Financial Law (KU Leuven) since November 2017. Frank has been a mentor at Startit@KBC since 2015. He holds two LL.M. degrees in Corporate Law and Taxation (both KU Leuven).
