Chris is a senior commercial real estate lawyer with a wide range of experience, and a particular expertise in retail, development and occupier matters.
An experienced client contact and business advisor, Chris is used to dealing with complex real estate transactions – he has advised on matters that span from the development acquisition of a 1 million sq ft distribution centre to the setting up £20 million+ income strip schemes and the disposal of £400m+ pub portfolios (and more).
On the retail side, Chris previously acted for Primark on their business critical UK property transactions, including the acquisition of the Pavilions shopping centre in Birmingham and their various UK flagship stores.
With regards to development matters, recent examples of Chris' experience include acting on various student accommodation and build to rent development schemes, acquiring a £20m+ development plot in the Nine Elms development for a major housebuilder and acting for a developer on its 400,000 sq ft central London mixed use scheme (including acting on its £390m refinancing).
For occupier matters, as well as being general property advisor for various high profile clients, Chris recently led on HQ relocations and London office acquisitions for companies such as BT, BP, Cooley LLP, TSB and ABF plc.
Chris joined Osborne Clarke as a Legal Director in early 2021 from another major UK legal practice.
