Chris Benjamin

Chris is an Associate Director in Osborne Clarke's London corporate team. He specialises in UK and cross-border corporate transactional and advisory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, reorganisations and general company law matters.
He advises across a range of sectors and regions, with a particular focus on transactions in the Financial Services, Fintech, Workforce Solutions (staffing, recruitment, and consultancy), Technology and Retail & Consumer spaces.
Chris has broad experience acting for clients at all stages of the business life cycle, from owner-managed start-ups looking to scale to large listed companies focusing on strategic acquisitions and disposals.
He also has experience from the client perspective, having spent eight months on secondment to the Corporate and M&A legal team of one of the UK's largest retail and commercial banks. Prior to joining Osborne Clarke, he was the legal mentor to a Fintech start-up, working closely with the management team to focus on the key legal issues that the company faced.
"Whilst working with Chris on an extremely time bound M&A project, I found him to be pragmatic yet highly protective of our interests. The knowledge of his subject area and those other disciplines that touch the deal is vast."
