Brent is a Partner in our pensions team, and advises employers and trustees on all aspects of pensions law. Brent also leads Osborne Clarke's Public Sector Pensions Group.
Brent has a broad range of pensions experience, but mainly acts for clients that operate in the transport & automotive, energy & utilities, engineering and the defence sectors.
Brent's expertise ranges from advising employer and trustee clients on closing defined benefit schemes to accrual, the solvent restructuring of scheme liabilities, risk settlement work (including bulk annuity transactions), the pensions aspects of M&A and outsourcing transactions, as well as day to day advisory work.
Brent also has a particular focus on public sector pension issues, including acting for LGPS administering authorities and admitted bodies, as well as private sector contractors on central and local government outsourcings.

I have a keen interest in Decarbonisation and wider 'ESG' issues. In particular, how occupational pension schemes grapple with the challenges that climate change poses to them, taking into account the climate change governance and reporting duties that all schemes will soon have under pensions legislation.
Decarbonisation is part of Osborne Clarke's 3D client strategy, and presents both challenges and opportunities for all of our clients.
