Becky is an Associate Director in the Financial Institutions Group, with a particular focus on payment services, e-money and FinTech.  

Becky has a deep knowledge of the payments and e-money regulatory regime applying across the life of a payment service provider from the authorisation requirements and threshold conditions, safeguarding obligations, conduct of business rules, regulatory reporting and complaints handling, as well as other associated requirements including anti-money laundering. She advises a range of clients covering every stage of the payment value chain including payment and e-money institutions, FinTech clients, challenger and digital banks and leading financial institutions as well as programme managers and technical service providers. Becky has particular experience of advising global brands and large retail and social media platforms on the regulatory perimeter, including reliance on exclusions, as well as on the implementation of regulatory change and on day-to-day regulatory issues. 

Recently, Becky has supported a FinTech challenger bank in its partnerships with third party brands to launch products aimed at the retail and SME-markets, including advising on product development and change. Becky also has extensive experience advising on compliance with the detailed and technical requirements of strong customer authentication (SCA) having helped co-author industry guidance on the SCA requirements.   

Becky joined Osborne Clarke as a trainee in September 2013 and qualified in September 2015.
