UK Knowledge Collection | Employees and the cost of living crisis, decarbonising cities, and greenwashing
Published on 23rd Jun 2023
Welcome to this week's Knowledge Collection
As the cost of living crisis in the UK continues to bite, our Insight considers its impact on employees, many of whom are making changes to their working arrangements. Pension planning is also being affected, as employees face short-term pressures that could harm their long-term retirement outcomes.
At the same time, employers are struggling to fill the talent gap as the UK workforce ages and experienced workers retire. In July, we explore the results of our survey on the ageing workforce and what may encourage workers to stay in employment for a longer period.
As governments and businesses alike concentrate on reaching their net zero goals, our launch event for our case study on the digital twins, district cooling and vehicle-to-grid initiatives being conducted in Barcelona, Paris and Delhi will consider the challenges and benefits of these decarbonising technologies.
While efforts to decarbonise intensify, so too does regulatory focus on greenwashing. Our webinar next week on advertising law includes a look at how regulators are treating green claims being made by brand owners, and our update sets out recent UK and EU developments to counter greenwashing in advertising.
