Published on 17th Jan 2025

Welcome to this week's Knowledge Collection

This year will see significant reform in a number of legal areas.

Our Knowledge Lawyers have made predictions for changes likely to be of particular interest to business, including the regulation of artificial intelligence and its interplay with intellectual property and data law, the implementation of legislation (including the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, the Procurement Act and the Digital Markets Competition and Consumers Act), the introduction and passage of new bills (for instance, on employment rights, data, renters' rights and product regulation), eagerly anticipated cases on complex points of law, and changes to taxation, financial services regulation, the planning system and increased focus on sustainability requirements.

Our forthcoming events also explore what lies ahead, with our Future of Financial Services series returning in February, and our in-person GDPR for HR "glance back and look forwards" event considering the impact of changes to data law on the processing of HR-related data.
