In our in person 'GDPR for HR' 2025 event we will look back at privacy developments over the last 12 months and forward to those on the horizon, as well as considering the practical impact of these changes on the processing of HR related data.

The event, taking pace in our London office, will feature guest speaker Leo Davidson from 11KBW alongside our own Osborne Clarke experts.

We will cover the following topics:

  • Use of AI in the workplace
  • Data subject access requests (DSARs)
  • ICO Enforcement

If there are any topics related to HR data that you would like us to discuss during this or future seminars, please let us know when you complete the registration form.

Did you know...

  • There was a rise in data protection complaints to the ICO from 33,753 in 2022/23 to almost 40,000 in 2023/24, with DSAR-related complaints accounting for most of the ICO's work at nearly 40%.
  • In July, the ICO reprimanded an Essex high school for using facial recognition technology to identify students without having first completed an adequate data protection impact assessment or obtaining explicit consent from students.
  • In August, the ICO reprimanded the Labour Party for failing to respond on time to DSARs which were left unattended in unmonitored email inboxes.
  • In November, the ICO published a report that summarised its audits with AI developers/providers and included almost 300 recommendations to help developers and recruiters improve their compliance with the data protection laws whilst using AI in recruitment.

This event is currently fully subscribed but if you register below you will be added to a waiting list.
