The Court of Appeal has recently issued its judgment in the Virgin Media case (Virgin Media Ltd v NTL Pension Trustees II Ltd & Ors).

The Court of Appeal's decision could affect any scheme which was contracted-out of the State Second Pension on a final salary basis in the period between 6 April 1997 and 5 April 2016.

We invite you to join us for a webinar in which we'll take a closer look at the Court of Appeal's decision and what it means for trustees and employers in practice.

Jonathan Hazlett, Head of Pensions at Osborne Clarke, will present the webinar. The webinar will start with a brief look at contracting-out and which schemes the judgment affects. We will go on to consider the rules that applied when trustees and employers wanted to make changes to a scheme, what the Court of Appeal decided in this case and what types of amendments the Court of Appeal's decision may affect. The webinar will conclude with comments on what trustees and employers should now be doing in response to the judgment from a practical perspective.

After registering you will be able to download the webinar details to save to your calendar. Joining instructions are included within the download file. You will also receive these details by email prior to the webinar.

We hope that you can join us.
