International legal practice Osborne Clarke welcomes three Partners to its London and Bristol offices. The new partners will strengthen the firm's non-contentious IP and disputes teams and bring a wealth of experience across competition and antitrust; life sciences; and construction, infrastructure and energy projects disputes.

Aqeel Kadri competition litigation Partner, London

Joining from Hausfeld, Aqeel has extensive experience of collective actions and both public and private enforcement of competition law in the EU and UK, having acted for and advised clients in relation to some of the most significant antitrust cases of recent years. His experience spans all genres of abusive and collusive conduct.

His recent focus has been on claimant-side collective actions, and he is currently instructed in four sets of collective proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal with a combined value in excess of £2 billion. Aqeel joined the firm officially on 16 December.

Mathilda Davidson life sciences transactions Partner, Bristol

Joining from Gowling WLG, Mathilda is a transactional IP specialist and advises clients on research and development, collaboration and licensing projects in the life sciences sector, as well as advising other technology-led businesses. 

She advises companies and research institutions on product development/acquisition, collaboration and licensing deals, and brings extensive sector experience working with high-profile companies including AstraZeneca, Cancer Research Horizons (formerly Cancer Research Technology), Nxera Pharma (formerly Sosei Heptares), Oxford BioTherapeutics and Amphista Therapeutics. Mathilda's first day is 6 January.

Helen Waddell construction and engineering disputes Partner, London

Helen joins from Pinsent Masons where she was a Partner and Global Board Member of the firm's construction advisory and disputes team. She has extensive experience advising clients on both domestic and international matters and has worked in the UK as well as Singapore.

With over 27 years' experience advising clients in relation to construction, infrastructure and energy project disputes, Helen works with clients throughout the entire project lifecycle to manage risk, avoid disputes and ensure the best commercial outcome. Her first day will be 23 January.
