He has a wide range of specialisation in planning, public litigation, concessions, environmental and competition law, with especial focus in all phases of public procurement. He participates in transactions involving renewable energies and public infrastructures, where he applies his more than 13 years of experience in the public law sector.
His career as a lawyer started in 2007 in the Spanish Law Firm Uría Menéndez where he worked in the urban planning and public law departments. In 2008 he joined DLA Piper Spain, where he was working as Senior Associate Lawyer in the Public Law Department until April 2016 when he joined Osborne Clarke.
Understanding the complexities and particularities of the public sector is one of the key elements for companies whose activities are highly regulated and where public administrations play an important role within their business. This knowledge allows us to anticipate risks and implement the corresponding strategies. We adopt legal remedies and decisions in a sector where processes are very rigid. Such focused advice can determine the success of your business.
"José Ramon is our go-to-lawyer when we need clear and practical guidance on regulatory matters in Spain. He is a pleasure to work with and the quality of his work and responsiveness really make him stand out."
