International legal practice Osborne Clarke has strengthened its Transport & Automotive sector with the hire of Dr Thomas Grünvogel, effective from March 1, 2017. He will join the Munich office as a Partner from CMS Hasche Sigel, focusing on advising companies in the automotive industry on distribution, contract and product liability law.
Thomas is a specialist in drafting and negotiating of R&D, purchase and distribution agreements. He coordinated various German and Europe-wide product recalls in the area of product liability, representing his clients in contentious disputes, also in court. He advises clients on industry issues including the connected car, autonomous driving and modern distribution concepts.
He is repeatedly recommended as an expert for contract law by in-house lawyers in the current kanzleimonitor.de. He has been advising leading companies from the automotive supplier industry for years, including Schaeffler Group, and also spent six months working for Groupe PSA in Paris.
