Simon joins Osborne Clarke from Pinsent Masons where he has been for nine years where he was a Partner.
Simon advises commercial companies, governments, regulators and energy and utility companies on projects, regulatory and commercial matters.
In addition to his work on energy regulation and projects, he will focus will on Smart Grid, Power Management and Decentralised Energy projects.
The appointment adds to Osborne Clarke’s international Energy and Utilities Sector and adds further depth to the firm’s Smart Cities offering.

In addition to Simon’s appointment in the UK, Dr Martin Soppe has joined Osborne Clarke in Hamburg as a partner building up a copyright and media practice and Partner David Haccoun has joined the corporate team in our Paris office.
Martin has been the Legal Head of publishing business of Gruner+Jahr, a part of the Bertelsmann group. He specialises in copyright and media distribution and distribution cartel law. He will continue to advise G+J and focus his business development on the publishing sector.
David joins Osborne Clarke from Baker & McKenzie where he was a Partner in their M&A team.
