In The UK, the firm saw an increase of 13.5 per cent from £42.1m to £47.8m.
In addition to significant revenue growth, in the first half, Osborne Clarke announced a best friend relationship with BTG Legal in Mumbai and a strategic alliance with a new law firm in Hong Kong founded by John Koh and Marcus Vass.
Osborne Clarke has advised on some high profile transactions including:
- UK: Advising KPMG on its strategic alliance with McLaren.
- Italy: Advising ATOS on the acquisition of Distrex S.p.A.
Simon Beswick, CEO of the international organisation says:
“We have had another very strong half year, which is reflected in another great round of financial results.
“This performance has been hard won. Although we enjoy strong workflows, given the mixed economic signals, various geo-political issues and concerns that the economy may slow down ahead of the May general election, it will be a challenge to repeat the same level of growth in the second half of the financial year.”
Last year, Osborne Clarke posted a top financial result of 46 per cent increase on the 2012/13 figures.
