International legal practice Osborne Clarke is strengthening its restructuring and insolvency team with a new London-based Partner – Will Gunston.
Having most recently spent the last seven years as a partner at Dentons, Will specialises in corporate restructuring and the use of strategic contentious insolvency procedures. He works closely with company directors, insolvency practitioners, turnaround professionals, GCs and financial institutions on corporate and debt restructurings, distressed acquisitions and disposals, loan-to-own strategies, and solvent and insolvent reorganisations.
Will brings extensive domestic and cross-border experience to a number of Osborne Clarke's key sectors including energy and utilities (particularly highly regulated businesses), financial services and real estate. He will work closely with Partners – Nigel Boobier and Keith Bordell – and Legal Director, Claire Bundy.
Leona Briggs, Partner and Head of Osborne Clarke's Disputes & Risk Practice Group, said: "Will's recruitment will improve our Partner-level bench strength in London. He brings complementary experience to Keith and Nigel's that will strengthen our offering, reinforce our market position and service more clients."
Osborne Clarke's international restructuring and insolvency group works closely with clients from a range of sectors to identify issues, analyse the options and formulate and deliver recovery plans. Recent assignments include the restructurings of Saltrock Surfwear and Agent Provocateur.
