International legal practice Osborne Clarke is strengthening its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) with the appointment of Robert Eke, a Private Funds Partner, who will join the firm's London office on Monday 3 February.

Robert joins from Squire Patton Boggs where he was a Partner in the firm's Financial Services group. He has extensive experience advising clients on private fund formation and secondaries transactions. He mostly works with mid-market private equity firms, institutional limited partners and first time and emerging managers.

Robert works with clients on fund formation, primary investment, secondary transfers, GP-led restructuring, co-investments and other related advisory projects. He also advises on regulatory matters, including compliance with the European Union Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation and the United Kingdom Sustainability Disclosure Requirements.

Helen Parsonage, Partner and Head of Osborne Clarke's Financial Institutions Group (FIG), said: "It's great to welcome Rob to our funds practice in London. His expertise in private funds and secondaries transactions will strengthen and complement our existing team and expand our capabilities. Rob's experience and network will help us to better serve our clients and grow our market share in this key area."

"I'm very excited to be joining the funds team at Osborne Clarke. The firm's depth and its strong funds platform provides an excellent environment for me to develop my practice further. I look forward to working with the team to expand our private funds practice."
