Osborne Clarke advised Principal Real Estate Europe - acting in its own name but on behalf of the Principal European Core Fund - in a financing transaction valued at approximately Euro 25 million. The green term loan was provided by ING Bank N.V. - Milan Branch as financing bank, mandated lead arranger, underwriter and green structuring arranger, assisted by Legance - Avvocati Associati.
The loan was granted, inter alia, to finance the acquisition by Principal Real Estate Vignate S.r.l. of a property located in Via Molina in Vignate, qualified as an Eligible Green Project in view of the positive impact on the environment resulting from the property's inclusion in the "Green Building" category.
The Osborne Clarke team was led in the negotiation and execution of the financing transaction by partners Andrea Pinto and Antonio Fugaldi with trainee Sofia Stefani.
