Osborne Clarke, with partner Simone Monesi, senior associate Stefano Panzini and lawyer Francesca Giammarino, advised Ruby Hotels, part of the Ruby Group, in the negotiation of the build to let contract that marked the Lean Luxury hotel group’s entry on the Italian market.

The building leased to the Ruby Group – a XIX century structure in Piazza della Libertà, Florence – is owned by GB Holding Group, a real estate investor active on the Italian market, which will contribute to the restructuring and which was advised by SLVB International Legal Services.

The hotel will be the Group’s first Italian Lean Luxury hotel and will have 118 rooms, a bar and coffee bar, a welcoming terrace in the internal courtyard and an area for co-working, with a total 300 m2.

Following Austria, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and EIRE, Italy is the sixth European country to which Ruby has expanded its operations. Ruby Hotels will also follow the philosophy will also follow the philosophy of Lean Luxury hotels in Florence: a location in the heart of the city with an excellent design, essential high quality furnishings, and all at an affordable price.   The restructuring of the historical building is under the direction of the Florentine architects 'Genius Loci Architettura', with interior design overseen by Ruby’s own design team, led by Matthew Balon.
