Osborne Clarke advises etc.venues Management Team on Gencom and Benchmark global expansion

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the management team of city centre event hosting company, etc.venues, on a global expansion partnership with US investor Gencom and global hospitality company Benchmark. The new collaboration will see etc.venues expand across the US and globally.

The investment in etc.venues, was led by Benchmark’s capital partner, Gencom, and a new investor, Colony NorthStar, offering a global platform of capital and real estate expertise to grow both businesses.

Private equity Partner Tim Hewens, advised on the transaction with Associates Seamus McKimm and Lara Flynn.

etc.venues is a long standing and valued client of Tim Hewens, who previously advised etc.venues managing director Alastair Stewart and FD Paul Keen on a buyout backed by Growth Capital Partners in 2012.
