The Legal 500 Germany Awards 2025: Osborne Clarke ist „Energy Team of the Year“

At this year's Legal 500 Germany Awards ceremony, which took place on 21 February in Frankfurt a.M., Osborne Clarke was awarded “Energy Team of the Year”.

For the second time, the Legal 500 Germany Awards in Frankfurt honoured law firms, lawyers and in-house teams in a total of 32 categories, including 18 practice areas. The winners are selected by a jury led by the editor-in-chief of The Legal 500 Germany, Anna Bauböck, along with editors Kathrin Zuser and Clara Mozes.

After being nominated three times in the categories “Energy Team of the Year”, “Private Equity and Venture Capital Team of the Year” and “International Firm of the Year”, the Osborne Clarke Energy Team, led by practice group head Dr Daniel Breuer, was delighted to receive the award for “Energy Team of the Year”.

The awards of the evening are based on independent research by The Legal 500 for the annually published The Legal 500 Germany Guide. The evaluation: “Osborne Clarke was involved in numerous sector-specific transactions and financings during the reporting period and recently demonstrated particular strength in the areas of wind and solar energy as well as battery storage. The group is also equipped to competently handle related regulatory issues in addition to contract drafting and has further strengthened its expertise in this regard with the addition of Martin Geipel from Noerr in April 2024. The department is led by Daniel Breuer, whose versatile practice focuses on renewable energy and includes experience in advising on PPAs, asset management, and representing clients in contentious matters.”
