Today the General Court annulled the European Commission's decision of October 2015 on alleged State Aid granted by the Netherlands to Starbucks. The judgement is in response to the appeals by the Dutch government and Starbucks against the decision that ordered the Netherlands to recover an alleged aid amount of approximately €25 million from Starbucks' Dutch coffee roasting company.

Today's judgement upholds the appeals filed by the Dutch government and Starbucks and establishes that no selective tax advantage had been granted by the Dutch government. In this case, Starbucks was represented by Osborne Clarke partner Steven Verschuur.
