Yeliz is an English and Welsh qualified lawyer. Prior to moving to New York, she was based in our UK office and specialised in finance law. She has years of experience working with corporates from a variety of sectors, including financial service providers and tech companies. Her clients range from start-ups and emerging companies to large institutions. She works with them to explore the best markets to enter and highlights the key legal issues they need to consider before launching internationally.

Yeliz is passionate about providing practical and open advice on the realities of the global expansion journey - whether that’s with regulatory support or a multi-jurisdictional M&A deal. She uses her extensive global network to support and connect businesses to excellent legal and commercial services, while project managing the process.

Being based in New York means that Yeliz can provide her US clients with in-time-zone support. This is invaluable when building relationships and helps clients to draw on her experience as though she was a member of their in-house legal team.

Entering the European market can be daunting for a number of US businesses, particularly as the law and policies are undeniably different and often highly regulated compared to the US. I help businesses consider the key legal issues of entering markets to make sure that they have all they need to make the most informed commercial decisions.

I am also a passionate supporter of Osborne Clarke's commitment to diversity and inclusion. I am most fortunate to mentor a number of students in an effort to tackle social mobility one small step at a time.
