Sophie-Jennifer is a Senior Associate in our Real Estate team. She acted on behalf of institutional Landlords, REITs, Banks, Universities and Pension Funds across a range of commercial property matters.

Her work for clients includes advising on both the legal and commercial aspects of transactions ranging from portfolio sales of care homes, solar farm options and leases, insolvency-based sales of luxury apartments and asset management.

Sophie-Jennifer is developing her expertise in the energy and utilities sector. She routinely advises statutory undertakers, solar farm developers, funders and landowners embarking on renewable energy projects. She often acts on the commercial property aspects of corporate acquisitions of companies involved in the sector.

Clients choose to work with Sophie-Jennifer because she is solutions-focused and tailors her advice to consider not just the risk profile, but the practical steps which can help to mitigate any issues identified.

Sophie-Jennifer also advises banks and insolvency professionals on the transactional aspects of disposing of property with an insolvency backdrop. She works closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver a combined approach to strategy and advice, helping the client achieve quick disposals.

Sophie-Jennifer qualified as a solicitor in June 2016 and lived and worked in London for a number of years before returning to Bristol in the Autumn of 2021. Away from the office, she takes advantage of being close to both the beach and the countryside, taking any opportunity to take in some fresh air with her three-year-old cockapoo, Ginny.

Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world

Supporting the community is important to me and I volunteer my time as and when the opportunity arises. I undertake real estate pro bono work and am an active member of our charity committee. One project I am particularly passionate about is organising the annual Osborne Clarke Carol service. As part of this role, I direct donations to local charities that help the homeless by providing food, safe spaces and community.

I'm also involved in the OC Solutions programme, am a Mental Health First Aider and a diversity and inclusion ally. I'm excited to soon be appointed as an ambassador for OC Reach, supporting Osborne Clarke's ongoing commitment to working with the award-winning Stepping Up Programme. Our goal is to increase diversity in leadership across business and in the public sector in Bristol.
