Sophie Abbott

Sophie is an Associate in our real estate disputes team in London. She acts for a variety of clients in the Built Environment sector, with a particular focus on residential and mixed-use property, the Building Safety Act, neighbourly matters and rights to light.

She regularly advises clients on a wide range of residential landlord and tenant matters, including property management, rent arrears and service charge disputes and since the Act came into force, Sophie has been advising clients on the intricacies of the Building Safety Act.

Sophie also acts for clients in relation to:

• trespass claims;
• Party Wall Act issues;
• boundary disputes; and
• rights to light matters, both from a developer and neighbouring owner perspective.

A member of the Property Litigation Association, Sophie joined Osborne Clarke in September 2020 as a trainee and qualified into the real estate disputes team in September 2022.
