Sophia Luton Rich

Sophia is an Associate in the Project Finance team specialising in debt finance for energy and infrastructure projects.

She acts for lenders, sponsors and borrowers in the renewables sector advising on the financing of energy generation projects (such as wind, solar, and battery storage) as well as student accommodation and hospital projects in the infrastructure sector.

Sophia joined Osborne Clarke as a trainee in 2021 and completed her training contract with the firm. This included a six month secondment with abrdn (Private Credit) where she assisted with infrastructure debt projects, private placements, commercial real estate lending and fund financings. She returned to Osborne Clarke in September 2023 and qualified in Project Finance. 

Sophia's in-house experience means she understands client needs first hand and is well equipped to support clients throughout their financing journey.
