Sara is an expert in M&A transactions, venture capital, private equity, and corporate restructuring. She also has experience in drafting and negotiating commercial and corporate agreements. She advises local and international investors, as well as companies and management teams, especially in the tech, media and comms, and life sciences sectors. She is also secretary and vice-secretary of the board of directors of several companies.
Sara has been ranked since 2020 as a leading Spanish lawyer by the international ranking Best Lawyers and is also one of the few non-partner lawyers ranked by Chambers & Partners Europe (as "Up and Coming") in the category of Venture Capital. She is "an associate to watch who enters the venture capital ranking this year due to market support" (Chambers & Partners Europe, 2023).
Since 2018, as part of her role as an active legal mentor, she has contributed her expertise to the CleanTech Camp program, an incubator program organized by InnoEnergy aimed at supporting the creation of startups in the cleantech field. She has also served as a legal mentor in other programs, such as the "Supernovas", a training program for VC funds' members organized by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), and "Impulsa-Llavor", a legal training program focused on venture capital in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Additionally, she has provided legal training to the Business Angels School of Girona (BAGI).
She is also a member of the organization Women Angels for STEAM (WA4STEAM), a growing international community of female angel investors determined to increase women's entrepreneurial presence in the STEAM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).
Sara joined Osborne Clarke in June 2012. She received her education from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and graduated in 2007 with dual degrees in Law and Economics. She completed her education with a two-year programme in corporate law offered by the Academy of Studies of Garrigues in collaboration with Harvard Law School. Before joining Osborne Clarke, she worked as a corporate lawyer at Garrigues Abogados y Asesores Tributarios. She is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association.
