Ruby Wang

Ruby is a corporate and commercial lawyer. Her practice covers mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment and market entry strategies. She regularly works with Western clients on China-related legal set- up, corporate restructuring, commercial contracts, due diligence and background checks.

In addition to her corporate practice, Ruby also closely follows the regulatory development in China’s emerging data law regime. One of the data law research projects she was involved in received funding from China’s National Social Science Fund.

Ruby has worked with clients from a wide range of industries, including technology, media, communications, consumer products, automotive and renewable energy. Much of her work is on projects relating to solar, wind power and vehicle charging facilities.

Ruby received her LLB and Bachelor of Economics from the East China University of Political Science and Law in 2018, and her LLM from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021.
