Nick is a Partner in our real estate practice and has been working in the property industry for over twenty years.
He has extensive experience in property investment, development and finance. His clients include a number of long-standing high-profile private investors, as well as more institutional investors, whom he advises on all aspects of commercial property investment, including prime office, warehouses, retail centres, hotels, leisure and industrial parks.
He also has considerable experience advising on the structuring and funding of complex development projects, ranging from distribution centres and government offices to student accommodation and mixed residential and retail sites. Student accommodation and hotels projects have been a recent focus.
On the finance side, Nick is often asked to work for corporate borrowers on acquisition, development and structured finance transactions, frequently handling deals that involve specialist tax structures or corporate vehicles like limited liability partnerships and offshore unit trusts.
He is also an active member of our restructuring team. Nick is recognised by the legal directories as a leading real estate lawyer. He qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and joined Osborne Clarke as a Partner in 2009, having previously been a partner at Olswang.
