Lizzie James

Lizzie is a Senior Knowledge Lawyer in our Tax team. She provides technical support to our client-facing lawyers and is responsible for ensuring they are kept up-to-date on new developments. She also assists team members with technical legal issues and provides training on law and practice.

When she was in a client-facing role, Lizzie acted for corporate buyers and sellers on a wide range of corporate sale transactions, negotiating tax warranties and indemnities. She has extensive experience advising both UK and overseas individuals and corporate entities on all areas of UK taxation. Her specialisms include Corporation Tax, CGT, R&D tax credits, Income Tax, VAT, Stamp Duty and SDLT.

Lizzie joined Osborne Clarke in early 2023. She trained at Burges Salmon LLP and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2012. She is also a Chartered Tax Advisor.
