Jonas Müter advises and represents clients in the field of intellectual property and unfair competition law.
He focuses on trademark and unfair competition litigation as well as extrajudicial representation. He also has special expertise in press and copyright law.

His work includes litigation at all levels of courts, including infringement litigation before the civil courts and invalidity cases before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office, the German Federal Patent Court, and the European Courts. Jonas’ international and domestic clients include companies in the industry sectors sports, entertainment, media, fashion, consumer goods and tech, media and comms.

Jonas was admitted to the German Bar in 2023 and joined Osborne Clarke’s Hamburg office the same year.
He studied law in Münster and Lisbon with a special focus on information, telecommunication and media law. He holds an LL.M. in Law & Economics from the Universities Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), Ghent and Hamburg. During his time abroad, Jonas gained experience in the Osborne Clarke offices in Spain and Belgium.

During his legal clerkship in Hamburg, he worked for the senate for press law at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court, the legal departments of a broadcasting company and a leading German media corporation, an international law firm in the field of media law, as well as for the German Embassy in Washington, D.C.
