Jamie is a commercial lawyer with particular expertise in the media, entertainment and tech sector.
He advises clients on a broad range of media and technology matters, specialising in:
- broadcasting, OTT and digital regulatory issues;
- consumer, marketing and privacy law compliance;
- agreements related to the creation, monetisation and distribution of content; and
- advertising and sponsorship arrangements.
He has significant experience in helping clients develop, launch and operate consumer-facing digital products across multiple jurisdictions, including for social networks, live-streaming services, television networks and a number of international SVoD services. He also regularly advises on: technology and software agreements; channel distribution, content licensing and partnering deals; and ad sales and media agency agreements.
Jamie has undertaken a number of secondments, including to Warner Bros. and Discovery, where he helped the legal, product and deal teams with commercial and regulatory issues relating to Discovery's D2C services. He has been recommended by the Legal 500 for Media and Entertainment work.
Jamie trained with Osborne Clarke and qualified in March 2016. Before qualifying as a lawyer, Jamie worked in film distribution.
