James is a senior associate in the commercial team with a growing specialism in technology and life sciences related matters.

James supports clients across the technology, life sciences and financial services sectors, commonly supporting with their business critical transactions and providing advise on data-related issues. James specialises in matters with a technology angle, including AI, SaaS and other transformational technology projects.

James has a number of ongoing client retainers, including providing data privacy advice to a global healthcare company on the deployment and sale of various digital solutions.

James joined Osborne Clarke in May 2022, having qualified in September 2020.

Supported a number of life science SaaS providers with their customer templates and negotiations, and supported a number of clients on the customer-side with procurement of business critical IT systems.

Global Healthcare Retainer

Two year data privacy retainer for a global healthcare company, delivering privacy support on their UKI, EMEA and global operations, including the management of large-scale remedial projects.

Major Retail Contract

Led on the negotiations for the opening of concessions for a retail company in > 700 stores across UK and Ireland, including related wholesale arrangements for supply into Europe.

Supported a number of FinTech clients with their contracting arrangements, including in connection with the development of third party software and APIs.

Supported a biotechnology company developing gene therapies with its framework agreements with important third party vendors, including for genetic testing and DNA manufacturing services.
