Hriday Chawla is part of the banking and capital markets practice group and advises international banks and companies on debt financing transactions.
He studied law (BBA LL.B. (Honours)) at Symbiosis Law School, Pune. In 2021, he obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M. Finance) degree at the Institute for Law and Finance, Goethe-Universität, Frankfurt with a focus on Banking, Corporate, Finance, M&A and Securities Law.
Hriday has acquired multi-geographical work experience having lived in India, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Before joining Osborne Clarke, Hriday worked briefly with Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt.
He advises German and international financial institutions, investors, corporations, and borrowers in relation to loan facilities, real estate finance, project finance and acquisition finance.
Hriday is a member of the Financial Services and Energy & Utilities sectors and is involved in the decarbonisation and digital transformation aspects of Osborne Clarke’s 3D strategy by providing advice on the financing of renewable energies projects and other sustainable finance (ESG) transactions, as well as in debt-based start-up/growth financing (venture debt).
