Hannes Janßen is a litigation lawyer – and represents the interests of our German and international clients before national courts. He uses his litigation skills particularly in the areas of trade, consumer protection and real estate.
His focus? Conflicts with suppliers or service providers are not uncommon, especially in the retail sector. This is where Hannes' experience in handling complex legal disputes comes in handy – he successfully represents clients in both B2B and B2C contexts. His expertise in property law also makes him the perfect contact for clients in the retail sector in all disputes relating to commercial tenancy law and construction law.
Consumer rights are increasingly being protected, which means that the number of legal disputes in consumer protection is also on the rise. Another of Hannes' specialities – most recently he successfully represented several clients in proceedings concerning the statutory right of withdrawal.
Hannes completed his law degree at the University of Münster. During this time, he also successfully completed a foreign language training program in common law. During his legal clerkship at the Oberlandesgericht (Higher Regional Court) Düsseldorf, he worked for a renowned international commercial law firm in the dispute resolution department and in the legal department of a DAX-listed company. He has been working for Osborne Clarke in the Disputes & Risk practice group in Cologne since 2019.
