Friedrich Matzen advises clients on all aspects of German and international tax law, with a focus on tax implications of M&A transactions, reorganizations and venture capital investments. Beside his focus on transaction-related tax issues, Friedrich has expertise on VAT law and criminal tax law.
Friedrich studied law at the University of Hamburg. During his legal traineeship, he worked, inter alia, for an international law firm’s office in Hong Kong.
Friedrich was admitted to the Bar in Germany in 2020 and was appointed as Tax Advisor in 2023. Prior to joining Osborne Clarke in 2023, Friedrich worked in the Hamburg office of an international law firm from 2020 to May 2023.
