Dr Lene Kohl represents claimants and defendants in litigation and arbitration proceedings with a special focus on commercial, construction, competition, post M&A and mass tort disputes.
She advises national and international clients on a variety of civil law disputes including contractual matters and tort actions.
Lene has litigated numerous complex cases before German courts on behalf of clients in various industries, in the automotive, banking, construction, energy, and insurance sector. She is experienced in international arbitration proceedings and settlements and in advising and representing legal tech companies in lawsuits concerning cartel damages and mass tort claims. Prior to joining Osborne Clarke, she acted in several court actions on behalf of the online platform myRight dealing with thousands of claims in connection with the VW emission scandal.
Lene grew up in Rome. She studied law at Freie Universität in Berlin and received a doctorate degree at the University of Bielefeld. Lene started her career in 2010, working for two other internationally active law firms, before joining Osborne Clarke’s Berlin office in 2019. She is a member of the German Arbitration Institute DIS and the Italian-German Lawyers’ Association.
