Dewi is a senior associate in the Dutch Tech, Media and Comms team of Osborne Clarke. He specialises in privacy and data protection law, IT law and contract law. Together with Wouter Kok, Dewi heads the video games practice of Osborne Clarke in the Netherlands.
Dewi works for both Dutch and international clients of various sizes. He has a hands-on approach and his ability to program provides him with a deep understanding of tech and innovation. He often helps clients with complex GDPR compliance projects, cross-border data transfers, drafting GDPR policies, cookies and other privacy related questions. He also drafts and negotiates IT-related contracts. He completed the Grotius Academy specialisation course in privacy law cum laude in 2022.
Dewi is seconded as data protection officer and privacy officer to various large companies in mobility, fintech, IT and retail. Due to these secondments, Dewi has a good feeling of what the business really needs. A special interest of Dewi is the gaming sector. As a passionate gamer himself, his understanding of the market and his connection with the scene is unique. He has been working for clients in the gaming industry for over 6 years. He worked for various small, mid and large videogaming companies, active in VR gaming, serious gaming, blockchain gaming, mobile gaming and regular PC and console gaming.
