David is an Associate in our Construction & Engineering Disputes and Risk team. He has experience in working on a wide range of construction and engineering disputes across the Real Estate, Mobility and Infrastructure, and Energy and Utilities sectors.

David has experience with the standard forms of construction contract including the JCT and NEC3/4 suites.

David has in depth knowledge of both the technical and commercial aspects of construction disputes, with a background in engineering and construction project management. He holds a BEng in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Construction and Project Management from Queen's University Belfast. David is also a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

David's background working for national contractors and with clients, including multi-national developers, global asset managers, government bodies and NHS trusts, allows him to understand the wider commercial challenges facing clients involved in construction disputes and to ensure that legal advice is tailored to each client's needs.

David qualified at Osborne Clarke in September 2024 after completing his training contract with the firm.

Having been involved in the delivery of a number of projects that utilise off-site construction techniques, I have a keen interest in how Modern Methods of Construction and other construction technologies are being employed to meet the challenges and opportunities faced by the construction industry in the transition towards Net Zero.
