Carter Xu

Carter is a corporate and commercial lawyer. He provides practical advice to clients on mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, global trade compliance and anti-bribery laws. He also advises on venture capital investment and capital market matters for technology companies.

He works with clients of all sizes from startups and entrepreneurs to established companies. These clients come from a wide range of industries including technology, media, consumer products, health care, entertainment and manufacturing.

Before joining the firm, Carter practised with a leading Chinese law firm and a New York-based transactional firm.

Carter received his LL.B from the East China University of Political Science and Law in 2009, and his LL.M from the Beasley Law School of Temple University in 2010.
