Beth is a Senior Associate in our real estate disputes and risk team in London. She acts for a variety of clients in The Built Environment sector, with a particular focus on commercial landlord and tenant disputes and real estate development issues.

She regularly advises real estate investors, retailers and corporate occupiers on a wide range of landlord and tenant disputes and portfolio management issues, including commercial lease renewals, break options, dilapidations, possession claims, and breach of covenant issues.

In addition, Beth assists developers on a range of issues, including:

  • devising and implementing strategies for obtaining vacant possession of tenanted properties for development purposes;
  • rights to light claims from neighbouring owners; and
  • contentious rights of way, restrictive covenants and nuisance claims.

Beth also has experience in advising utilities and energy distribution companies, regularly acting for businesses in the Electricity sector.

Beth is a member of the Property Litigation Association and Women in Property.

Advised a shopping centre client on all landlord and tenant issues across its nationwide portfolio.

Assisted numerous landlords/property investors to recover tenant rent arrears.

Advised a large residential housing developer on the enforceability of restrictive covenants by a neighbouring owner.

Advised various developers on how to avoid rights to light claims, from undertaking full title reviews of neighbouring properties to negotiating deeds of release.

Commercial real estate developer

Advised a commercial real estate developer on its ability to divert a neighbouring owner's right of way during temporary development works and the consequences of any permanent interference.

Solar farm

Advised a Solar farm in relation to a nuisance claim against neighbouring owners.
