Alistair Russell

Alistair is a senior associate in the Construction, Planning and Environment team in Bristol. He works for clients across a broad range of sectors, with experience on both commercial developments and energy and utilities projects.

Ali advises on the full range of construction and engineering contracts. From standard forms (such as JCT, FIDIC and NEC) to bespoke building and infrastructure agreements, framework agreements, forms of professional appointment and pre-construction services agreements, to ancillary documents such as collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees.

Alistair qualified as a solicitor at another law firm in 2018 and joined Osborne Clarke in 2021.

Having been involved with renewables sector for a number of years I've become keenly aware of the huge challenges facing the energy sector and the increasingly important steps needed to transition to a low carbon future.

I've also taken a particular interest in the changes being brought about by urbanisation and the need for genuine creativity in regeneration projects, to ensure developments are fit for both the future of living and work.
