Welcome to this week's Knowledge Collection

The Renters' Rights Bill, laid before Parliament last month, introduces significant reforms affecting the private residential rental sector. Our Insight considers some of the principal provisions of the bill, including the abolition of "no fault" eviction and changes to grounds for possession, and their likely impact.

The European Commission has proposed a 12-month postponement to the implementation of the Deforestation Regulation, which, if adopted, will give business more time to prepare for the new rules. Our Insight covers this and other recent ESG-related regulatory and market developments.

Our in-person All Day Breakfast event next month will look more closely at the ESG issues businesses face (including sustainability reporting and due diligence, green claims and governance) and also at other compliance areas such as sanctions, anti-money laundering and digital competition rules. The new sanctions enforcement body, OTSI, was recently granted its statutory powers and our webinar next week discusses what businesses should know about its role.

Next month sees the return of our IP webinar series, which begins with the interplay between intellectual property rights and artificial intelligence. Later sessions include IP and data, trade mark law trends in Europe, AI licensing, and platform liability for infringements.
