Plans for over 400,000 new London homes

The Chancellor announced various housing plans last Friday to assist London in meeting its need for over 400,000 homes. The measures include a new London Land Commission which is to identify obsolete public sector brownfield land in London so that all such sites are developed by 2025 along with the creation of nine Housing Zones on brownfield sites in London which will have access to funding for affordable housing in an attempt to accelerate construction.
