International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Caruso GmbH on the market launch of their platform Caruso. Caruso is a neutral, open and secure data and service marketplace for the automotive aftermarket.
The Caruso data marketplace connects data to enable new business models for the automotive aftermarket. Initial partners include renowned telematics service providers, parts manufacturers and repair shop chains. The marketplace was officially launched on 16 November at the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering in Kaiserslautern.
An Osborne Clarke team led by Marcus Sacré advised Caruso on the development of the platform. The team also included Johannes Ballestrem, Christoph Pitzer (all IP law), Konstantin Ewald (IT law), Dr Marc Störing (Data protection law), Tanja Aschenbeck-Florange, Thorge Drefke, Katharina Schmidt (all banking and capital markets law), Joachim Breithaupt und Dr Ulrike Bär (both Tax law).
