Osborne Clarke's regional offices are celebrating two award wins this morning having scooped awards at The Business Leader Awards in Bristol and the Insider Thames Valley Dealmaker Awards in Reading.

Business Leader South West Awards: Inclusion and diversity category

Held at Ashton Gate, Business Leader's South West Awards celebrate the most influential local businesses. Winning the Inclusion and Diversity Award, Osborne Clarke was recognised for its strong commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity throughout the workplace during the last year.

Bola Gibson, Head of Inclusion and Corporate Responsibility, said: "This award recognises the collective work and dedication of our people, who make our programme so vibrant by driving and engaging activity across the firm. We're committed to ensuring Osborne Clarke is a workplace where everyone can fulfil their potential and we will continue to challenge both ourselves and the firm going forwards."

Diversity and inclusion are integral to the firm's five-year 2025 business strategy which strives to deliver meaningful change and better outcomes for the firm's clients, people, communities and business.

In addition to this award, Osborne Clarke is ranked joint number one for its outstanding culture by Roll on Friday's Law Firm of the Year satisfaction survey, recognised as the British Legal Awards 2021 UK Law Firm of the Year and was highly commended in diversity and inclusion category at 2022 Modern Law awards.

The firm received a silver award for its commitment and efforts as an LGBTQ+ inclusive employer, jumping 159 places in Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, now 113th of 403 and 16th of 34 in the legal sector. The business has also improved its 2021 UK Social Mobility Index performance, jumping 33 places to now rank 48th out of 203 participating employers.

Insider Thames Valley Dealmaker Awards: Corporate Lawyer of the Year – Greg Leyshon

Hosted by Rob Brydon at the Reading FC Conference centre, the Insider Thames Valley Dealmaker Awards celebrate the most significant deals shaping the region.

Greg Leyshon, Head of Osborne Clarke's Business Transaction Group won Corporate Lawyer of the Year with judges reporting he has been very successful in advising regional-based businesses during the last year. The judges also highlighted Greg's professional and personal qualities and the relationships he has with businesses and professional advisers across the region.

Commenting on his win Greg said"It's a pleasure to receive this award. Having worked with many of my clients for more than a decade, I appreciate the importance of building sustainable relationships. I'd also like to thank all my colleagues for their on-going support and give a special congratulations to the rest of our team for getting shortlisted in various categories, especially Sara Valentine who was also shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year."

Osborne Clarke was also shortlisted in several categories at the awards:  Sara Valentine, Corporate Lawyer of the Year; Corporate Law Firm of the Year and for two deals in the Deal of the Year 20m+ category: Acquisition of Prisym ID by Loftware (Deloitte, Osborne Clarke, Excel Partners, RSM, Stevens & Bolton); International sale of Lifecycle Marketing (FRP Corporate Finance, Field Seymour Parkes, Osborne Clarke).
