International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised long standing client Highland Europe, a leading London-based growth capital fund, on its follow-on investment into insurtech hyperexponential (hx) as part of its $73m Series B funding round.

Highland's participation in this latest funding round increases its holding in hx, following its lead investment in the pricing platform's $18m Series A funding in 2021.

hx is a global leader in pricing decision intelligence software, serving insurance and reinsurance companies in the multi-trillion-dollar global property-casualty insurance industry, which protects individuals and businesses from a wide array of risks.

This latest injection of funding will enable increased product investments for hx, and support its New York office launch and expansion into the United States.

Josephine Healy Russell (Associate Director) and Chris Flach (Associate) in Osborne Clarke's Corporate team advised on this deal.

Osborne Clarke’s corporate team is a go-to practice for companies in the Tech, Media and Comms sector. Its clients range from global businesses to fast-growth start-ups and market challengers.
