Dr Timo Karsten is an employment law specialist and partner in the German employment law practice group. His practice focuses on outsourcing transactions, the use of contingent workforce, and business immigration including global mobility.
He advises on collective and individual employment law with a focus in the TMC, Financial Services Sector and on clients from the engineering industries.
Timo qualified as a lawyer in 2000. As trusted advisor, he supports his national and international clients with their business activities in Germany and in cross-border legal issues. He is a member of Osborne Clarke's India Group and the Nordic Desk, which assists clients from Finland and Scandinavia. During a secondment, Timo also worked for one of the leading Finnish law firms.
Timo advises companies on the planning and implementation of outsourcing transactions and digitalization projects. He specialises in contingent workforce compliance including the use of temporary agency workers and alternative contractual forms of cooperation with service providers and contractors.
Further focal points of his advisory practice are questions of global mobility, cross-border work, and business immigration of skilled workers.
Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world
I support our clients in the creation of their future of work: New work environments and the forward-looking design of an international and increasingly digital working environment.
Digital transformation opens new possibilities for mobile, location-independent and cross-border cooperation which companies want to shape together with their employees, the employees’ representatives, and social partners.
The growing need for specialists in the field of digitalisation increasingly requires companies to cooperate with external IT service providers, which I support and shape in terms of labour law.
For excellent client service and the ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond other players in the market he has been awarded in 2016, 2017 and 2019 with the Client Choice Award of the International Law Office (ILO). |
