Service area

The role will involve a broad range of work researching and assisting the team in advising on financial services and other regulation of various client business activities.  It will also involve similar functions in relation to the team's activities in Payments (electronic payments, e-money, retailer vouchers, interbank payments and so on).

Skills and experience

We will consider applicants who possess at least one year's PQE upwards to join our team of experienced advisors.  In addition to all usual basic legal skills, the successful applicant will have a flair not only for research and exacting analysis of detail, but also for translating the results into a commercial context in clear written and spoken forms.  Drafting precision in both advice and contractual documentation is also a key relevant skill.  The successful applicant will also have a strong, demonstrable appetite to absorb the range of applicable law and regulation and to make a future in this specialist, increasingly important area and growing team. Subject to the foregoing, financial services experience is not a prerequisite."

Team

The position will report directly to Paul Anning, but will involve working and liaison with all members of the FIG team (principally in LO but BO and TVO included).
